The online gambling industry and the issue of regulation We have, throught this site, spoken of the industry watchdogs. Some work behind the scenes, while in other cases their work is overt and there for everone to see. Here are a few industry watchdog sites: ECogra - They provide an all encompassing service to the industry, ensuring quality and excellence by the operator and assuring fair treatment of players. They are more than willing to take expert opinion before advising members. Interactive Gaming Council - They have specified a code of conduct and gone a long way to addressing the very concerns voiced by Congressman Goodlatte. They have put programs in place to not only protect but to inform and assist all sectors that find themeselves part of the interactive process that we call Internet Gambling. Casino Declarations Now we list those casinos who have signed a declaration that they do not fall within the ambit of the evils described by Congressmen Goodlatte and Boucher in their press statements. These very accusations are being used to drive a bill into legislation which, with a bit of investigation, will prove to be a travesty of justice and a bill founded on untruths.
